Dare To Be Happy
Coming soon· December 21, 2026
Coming soonMost of us spend years learning how to handle what goes wrong, and almost no time learning what to do when something goes right. Yet joy asks something of us that difficulty never does. It reveals what we hoped for, what we wanted, what mattered more than we usually let on. And so we learn, early and without noticing, to turn it down.
This program is about the courage in the title. Not finding more happiness, but daring to let the happiness you already have take up its actual size. By the end you will have looked at something most people never examine: what you do in the first second after something good happens. And from there the shift becomes possible, from joy you keep safely to yourself, to joy you are willing to show.
The program takes you through three lessons, each building on the last, from seeing the habit, to training the attention underneath it, to letting your joy become something you share rather than something you protect.
Lesson 1 — The Most Vulnerable Feeling to Show. You start by noticing, joy exposes us, because it reveals what we hoped for, and there are three risks we quietly guard against: being disappointed, being rejected, and being too much. Using ordinary moments from your own life, including what you do when someone praises you, you map the habit as it really is. Nothing asks you to change it yet.
Lesson 2 — Training the Mind That Sees Joy. Attention is a skill, not a temperament, we get better at noticing whatever we practise noticing, and most of us have spent years practicing the opposite. This lesson looks at the habit of dimming a good feeling as it arrives, and gives you something to put in its place. Small, ordinary, daily, this is where the trainable part of the program lives.
Lesson 3 — Daring to Let It Show. Joy that is never shared stays smaller than it was. How we respond when someone tells us their good news predicts the strength of a relationship better than how we handle conflict does. Showing your joy is not self-absorption. It is an invitation, and this lesson is about daring to extend it.
This is about letting joy be visible, even when it might be met badly, and understanding why that willingness changes far more than the moment itself.
